Keeping the records is the part nobody warns you about
When you act for a parent, you're expected to account for every payment you make with their money. For most people, that means:
A drawer of receipts
Kept just in case, but hard to match to the right payment months later.
A spreadsheet only you understand
Updated in batches when you find the time, with gaps you mean to fill in.
Questions from the family
When a brother or sister asks where the money went, you need an answer you can show them.
The OPG can ask to see them
If anyone raises a concern, the Office of the Public Guardian can ask for your records. Deputies send a report every year.

Kinkept keeps it all in one place, on your phone
From bank statement to a records pack you can send, in three steps.
Import your statements
Download a CSV statement from online banking and import it. Then label each payment: rent, bills, shopping, a gift.
Keep the evidence with it
Photograph a receipt and attach it to the payment. Add a note on bigger decisions so you remember why you made them.
Share a records pack
Export one PDF with every payment, receipt and note, and send it to your brothers and sisters or the OPG.
Free to join. Screens are early designs and may change before launch.
Everything the guidance asks you to keep
GOV.UK guidance asks attorneys to keep an accurate record of financial decisions, keep receipts, record any gifts and keep the person's money separate from their own. Deputies also send a report to the Office of the Public Guardian every year.
Each one has its own place in Kinkept, so nothing depends on memory or a drawer.
Bank statements
Import the CSV file your bank lets you download, and label every line.
Receipts
A photo of each receipt, attached to the payment it belongs to.
Gifts
Who, when, how much and the occasion, kept separately from everyday spending.
Decisions and expenses
Short notes on what you decided and why, with your own expenses logged.
Records pack
One tap makes a PDF of everything for a date range, ready to send.
Deputy report worksheet
Your figures arranged in the same sections as the official report form.
Your family's finances never leave your phone.
Everything is stored on your iPhone. You don't create an account, there's no server holding your records, and the app never connects to a bank. You choose when a records pack is shared, and who with.

Questions
Is this legal advice?
No. Kinkept is a place to keep records. It doesn't tell you what you can or can't do as an attorney or deputy. For that, read the GOV.UK guidance or speak to a solicitor.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. You download a statement from online banking as a CSV file and import it. Kinkept never asks for your banking login.
Who is it for?
People in England and Wales acting for someone under a Lasting Power of Attorney or an Enduring Power of Attorney, or as a deputy appointed by the Court of Protection. Usually that means keeping records for a parent or another relative.
Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone and nowhere else. There's no account and no Kinkept server, so we can't see your records. Nothing leaves the phone unless you share a records pack.
When can I get it?
We're aiming for late 2026 or early 2027, on iPhone. Join the waitlist and we'll email you once when it's ready.
Do I pay anything now?
No. Joining the waitlist is free and we don't ask for payment details. The prices on this page are what we plan to charge at launch.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and the app is yours, with no monthly or yearly fee.
Is there an Android version?
Not at launch. It's iPhone only to begin with.
