Kinkept

Privacy policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

What this covers

This policy covers the Kinkept website and its waitlist. The Kinkept app isn't released yet. When it is, it will have its own privacy policy. The app is designed to keep your records on your iPhone, so we won't hold them.

The website is run by Luke James Hookem, trading as Made by LJH, the data controller. You can contact us at luke@madebyljh.com.

What we collect when you join the waitlist

  • Your email address.
  • Which version of this page you saw. We're testing two launch prices.
  • Which sign-up form you used on the page.
  • The campaign details in the link you followed, if any (for example, which Facebook ad). These describe the ad, not you.
  • The date and time you signed up.

We don't ask for your name, phone number, payment details or anything about the person you act for.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your email address for one thing: to tell you when Kinkept is available, which we expect in late 2026 or early 2027. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing luke@madebyljh.com or using the unsubscribe link in our email.

We use the page version and campaign details to count how many people joined from each version and each ad. This helps us decide what to charge.

Visit counts

To work out what share of visitors join, the page records that a visit happened, which page version it was and the campaign details in the link. It also records when the pricing section is viewed. These records contain no IP address, no device identifier and nothing else that could identify you, and nothing is stored on your device to make them.

Cookies and similar technology

We only set non-essential cookies if you choose Accept in the cookie banner.

NamePurposeLasts
cookie-consent (local storage)Remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies. Strictly necessary.Until you clear it
_fbp, _fbc (Meta)Set by the Meta Pixel to measure whether our Facebook ads lead to sign-ups. Only with your consent.90 days

If you accept, the Meta Pixel sends Meta information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your browser and IP address, and the fact that you joined the waitlist. We don't send Meta your email address. Meta uses this information under its own privacy policy, and we and Meta are joint controllers for collecting it. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Who else handles your data

  • Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and the database that holds the waitlist, as our processor. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK, under its data processing addendum, which includes the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Cloudflare keeps short technical logs to run and secure the service.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, only if you accept cookies, as described above.
  • When we send the launch email, we may use an email delivery service. We'll name it here before we do.

We never sell your data or share your email address with anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until we've sent the launch email. If Kinkept doesn't launch, we'll delete the waitlist within 12 months of you joining. We'll delete your details sooner if you ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. Email luke@madebyljh.com and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
